How much is too much snow? (56k warning, BIG pics and lot)

Oh come on, get real, how am I supposed to go 40km to that direction


Suspension arms, exhaust and differential have laid their marks to snow, can't drive much deeper without getting stuck


Uh, oh, someone is going to have car washing day tomorrow

Only those brave enough will be home on time, someone really should clean those high speed roads bit quicker (that is 100kph/64Mph btw)

Looks like an adventurous evening, Jani!

It's weird driving into falling snow, with it all flowing towards you like that, can get to the point where you feel like you're flying - I guess that's when you ought to slow down

It is bit like driving in dense fog, visibility can be as little as 20 meters, but it effects also ground, makes driving _very_ difficult as there is bit similar effect to aquaplaning but still very different, less predictable loss of grip that there is lot less at best.
I could almost say that flying an helicopter in good weather is nothing compared to driving a car when it is dark and snowing. Also there is always very good chance of moose or reindeer to jump to road when driving there up north, so risks are quite high.

Luckily I like danger

Here I'm driving about 90kph behind a truck (100kph would been quite close to limit there), road was far from smooth (hence shaking and noises) and it was quite bad visibility because of snow everywhere.
Some Mr.Hurry still did like to overtake truck (this is how accidents happen, people don't understand risks), even there was no any chance of he seeing what is front in there. Speed limit was 100kph.

It was 10 hours drive to home after week in there, but so worth it

I Heard Friday that will have 9 or so weeks more this year there, going for example this place at Aprilhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sevettij%C3%A4rvi and 120km south of that place next month, good that I drive Volvo, some other car could have trouble to keep up
