Warning Light

The (!) warning light flashes on my 360 gls when I accerate hard. What is it supposed to warn me of? The oil and brake fluid levels seem fine and I can't find my owners manual to check what it means.

The light is brake fluid low. there is a float type switch in the resevoir filler cap. If fluid level is correct the float may be stuck,or a wiring fault will be the problem.

I double checked it today and the brake fluid level is just above the min line. My haynes manual says it takes dot 3 or 4. Is it ok to mix these, (i don't know what is in there at the moment).

i doubt it'll be dot3 in there. put some 4 in.

The two will mix but it is never a good idea.Its cheap enough with the gear garages have now to have the fluid changed.(should be done every couple of years anyway) 340pw

I plan to do a fluid change next summer when its warmer to work on the car if it passes its MOT. Cheers for all the help.

It'll almost certainly have DOT 4 in, as Hugh suggested. DOT 4 and 5 don't agree, but you can mix 4 and 5.1 if you must.
