Relay E14

Post by RandomHero »

Hello,

I have a questing. I am currently trying to connect fog-lights in my 1987 360 GL. I don't realy know which wires are already there. To make the connection complete i need to know where i can find relay E14. I hope it all falls in one piece when i know where it is. It's somewhere in the centerconsole i guess, that's all i know.

Who can help me?

relay E14 controls rear foglights, its feed cable to the coil is orange and the two switchwires are white with a black tracer. I am unsure of position but favour around steering column behind the covers.

Ok, my manual says the relay for the rear foglights is E11. As fas as i know relay E14 is only for the front-foglights. But i'll go look near the steer column to find it. Does anybody know if relay E14 is in the car from stock, thoug it has no foglights from factory?

Thanks for helping so far

Near the battery is relay B32, the other relay for the foglights. I just wanted to take a close look at the car this afternoon... I let know if i've found it.

I connected the switch to 2 remaining wires that weren't connected and the lights suddenly worked!

It's a 360 GL. But i'm planning to insert all sorts of GLT options. The 14'' alloy's from the GLT are next :-)

Nooooo not the late style GLT alloys, the mk2 style are quite nice though! :) Would it be possible for you to get alloys from a 400 series car instead, most of the designs are quite nice.

The wiring is under the dashboard, on the other side of the fuse box. Where the wires comes into the car from under the hood. It is a black-white and a blue-red wire. The relay B32 near the battery is the one you should put in yourself. E14 was apparently already there, succes

I think the late style alloys are quite nice. You mean the rims shown on the blue en red glt on the top of this site right?

so you had to put the relay in yourself? i thought this might be the case - how much did it cost?

and one other thing - where do you run the wiring from there - is it already in place or did you have to manually put it in from the fuse box to the lights?

I got the foglights from a guy i know from the volvo300club, he gave me the relay B32 and the switch with the package. In my car there was already a place for B32 next to the battery. In front of the battery were the 2 cables for foglights binded with tie wraps. The one longer then the other, and they fitted the lights just right when they were in place. If you can tell me how i can add pictures to a reply i will post some clear pics.
