right guys
After getting my bell housing shot blasted( spanking clean

) i have a non smooth movement now so ive started to strip the bell housing down.
ive got the housing in to two halves removed the 2 circlips from the prop end yet cant get the shaft out. i'd idealy like to get it out wash it of re-grease it etc, then put it back together!
Now anybody know how to get it out?

put the housing back together, then engine end use the bell housing as leverage to hit that end of shaft on a block of wood.
