Trying to limit damage here lol. Oh, Sven...do you want your newspaper back from the wing?
Welded Wings?
Welded Wings?
Ok, so I've completely stripped the front of my 360 now, bonnet, lights, grille bars etc. When i came to remove the wings and I've noticed what looks like welds or filler on the lower half of the wings where they join the chasis at the front, under the headlight (should have taken a picture.) Are these welded standard? Is it just filler or something else? Any recommendations for getting them off without just ripping them off?

Hello, you could use a flexible roof sealant from local DIY, but if you don't remove the old sealant it will seal itself up quite well when you replace the wing, anyhow, and you could just put a bit of waxoyl on for luck - I think I did this. Cheers, bogbasic.

Bogbasic - Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm a total newbie to all this bodywork stuff and research everything on the net and pick peoples brains on every subject, before I attack anything.
Last week I needed to learn all about fibreglass, (to rebuild the sill under the hatch) so I spent a lot of time talking to a local bloke who a few years back built a whole fishing boat. The sill looks like it came straight out of the factory. so I'm very please with the results.
