Front inner wing repair panels?

Post by 340GLT »

As we know when we remove front wings we have no inner arches. Lol. Do we think it would be worth having repair panels available? I removed the wing from my white car to get at another small area of rust and found how bad the arch is, i could just put the wing back on but i feel i may aswell repair the inner while its all exposed.

Before i go on does anyone know if inner panels are still available?

If not poll question....

I should think it would be a great idea to have repair panels. For me its an easy fabrication job but I'm sure for most a good fitting repair panel would be a great idea.

It's not worth arsing about making one, given all the creases, so it'd be nice to have a panel available. Having said that, all mine have been ok so far (except the two breakers I had for parts, which were kenked everywhere).

Inner wing is folded to hell, and the arch isn't much better. If the panels were available, I'd have gone for them over xmas... but they weren't ;)

As it's inner wing I'm happy making bits up as it's not pretty though

Well she's had a comfortable winter, but I think the overuse in the last few winters has taken its toll, the front valance has a bit of rust on the lower edge but not sure how bad it is as I only found it late in the Autumn. Come Spring the dremel will reveal all :?

On an upside Hammerite Direct to rust blue looks (from the label) like it should match fairly inconspicuously

I vote Yes as others would no doubt find them useful, and I may need one later on down the line (but hopefully not :))

Yes please!

I'm going to have my front wings replaced by brand new ones and the inner ones are also in bad shape.. Repair panels would be very nice. I'm going to order Lokari interior mudguards also so no more road salt exposure for inner wings in the future.. :P
