My understanding (and like Tom, I'm 99% sure) is that that is incorrect. The complete strut assembly is indeed different, as the spring and shock are both different....but the "empty" strut tube itself is the same, as far as I'm aware. Only ones from a 1.4 are different, as they have a different camber number. I assume that's achieved via the strut tube being at a different angle to the hub / knuckle. (Plus the ARB drop link matter...but I think we've done that one to death).

cheers

The last 2 are fairly extreme. The top one is what I prefer. It will be while before It looks like this though. I need to buy tax, MOT, a few things will be needed for the mot.

Good photoshopping!

But ... in all honesty I prefer it like this:

When nearly every GLT you ever see gets lowered, different wheels fitted etc. you tend to appreciate the untouched original ;-)

Invest your money in new springs, shocks and some polybushing magic from Dai instead ...

Half agree.
Apart from standard mk3 GLT wheels are the ugliest things ever devised.

I disagree, I think they look great :-) In fact, I even prefer them to Leos on a MkIII, which look just a tad too old for the car.

The "worst" V300 wheel IMO are the steelies on MkIIIs fitted to cars which didn't get hubcaps:

These are pretty boring ...

^ I quite like those actually.
Theyve got a bit of retro character and are quite individual as steels go.

Those glts just look like chinese plasic wheel trims. sm94

 the world would be dull if we all thought the same ;-)

One of my favourite GLTs is "Hug", John360s old car. Original GLT wheels, original Volvo bodykit. Couldn't find a better pic of it than this I'm afraid :

I'm going to go out on a limb here, I don't fancy the MkII 440 alloys either really ... Too 90's ...

Those 440 wheels also look very nice on a V300 with bodykit I think Tom ;)

15 inch is the way to go on a sporty 300 IMO.

Mk3 GLT wheels on the right car (particularly in the darker silver some of them were finished in) can look good.

Leos on a mk3 GLT are a particular dislike. They look ok on some mk3s though...Nessy always looked fine on them. Don't ask me what exactly it is about GLTs...!

I agree on 15s from 440s...but I would, wouldn't I...?! :)

cheers
