Hi mate.
The motor looks like it could do with a rev counter.
Cheers Mark.

It could also do with a vacuum gauge, scrub and underseal, and that bit poking down from the underside (visable in photo) sorting out.
I'll get there eventually.

Worlds Greatest Update.
Built a bespoke, steel and plastic Iphone interface device so that I can now listen to my Kings Of Leons whilst traveling at moderate speeds.
Took me like three days on the drawing board (design phase), and a week to build, but im very happy with the result...................................................

Though I loved the Wooden wheel, there wasnt enough "gap" between column and driver with the shallow mountney boss.
So.......... To Ebay!
Then to Halfrauds.
24mm socket and 8" extension please!
(sick of bothering John, Ron, Liam for tools so im splashing out)
205 Boss,
Chop chop, grind grind.
Screw screw,
Ratchet ratchet.
The clock struck one and the wheel was gone
No Hornring on yet, needs to be ground out a bit.
On far enough to get a good bite.
There, thats better.
Isotta Dishyness.

Nice wheel, but doesn't the Y spoke pattern block the view of the dials to bottom left/right of the instruments. If it did, it'd annoy the ballcocks off me!

the 13in wooden wheel blocked all the warning type lights anyway, so ive got used to scootching down to look.
Im high enough up to see the speedo (reads out anyway so Ive started using sat nav for modern digital lies)
Havnt actually driven it yet, but I'll let you know.
Love the wheel though, really soft leather and cool as fook.
Got a hornpush coming in the post ti fill the Drifterzstyley gaping middle.

Moi, with Vari-Ho's successful MOT ticket last month:
Let's even up the score with this speed king in action.

Let's just get this right please! The letter from the plod was about the front number plate, the speeding fine thing (in a 40 limit on Jesmond Road

) was sprung on me later.
But, as I explained to the Fixed penalty unit, when sending in the piccie showing the 40 sign just ahead of the car's position there, and the other one behind it; it wasn't on the road on the 14th of May. Question is, do I prove this by pointing out to them that I was clocked on that date, within ten minutes of that time, doing 2.7mph in the Triumph before stopping and asking a scantily-clothed young woman for directions from just under a bridge, near the docks in M'bro, to the nearest place of worship? Or do I let them take my licence as a result of the mobile camera unit's inability to set their equipment correctly for its location? 40 limit, so the car was doing 39. Damn the internet!
