aye. I liked them... But the Leo's are too cool

Selling them will hopefully get me money to buy a new diff cover gasket, Tyre, Paint, Grinder, metal and a new magic tree for the car

Find a 4 or 700 in the scrappy, it'll have that switch without any markings on it. Fake and Kar both have them for different things.

On of the blokes in my local dealer did it years ago, seemingly it went alright. Not ever seen any actual evidence of it though.

Proper obsessed at the moment with doing the F9Q swap (1.9 S40 TD). With 115bhp standard I can see a few turbo tweaks going a long way

AFAIK it uses a pump and rail system so should be as easy as a valver swap with less wires to deal with.
I've also wondered if any of the new direct injection engines are based on the F or B blocks...

Wouldn't bother with the B28/B280 conversion, more hassle than it's worth for modest power - nice sound though. Better off with a redblock turbo imo.

aye heard its not the greatest engine in the world, was meant to be a v8 but due to the fuel crisis they just did a v6. depending how insurance drops when i get to 21, i'll be seeing about redblock turbo, either a b230 or turbo my 200.
Last night when i pulled up my drive the fuel pump was making a high pitched buzzing noise, had about half a tank left, dunno if its owt to worry about, i'll see what its like when i next drive it. Also got a few things to do by the end of the month:
-new diff cover gasket +oil - (diff cover gasket from mac) what oil to use?
-rear wheel bearing (
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLVO-360-85-89-2 ... 2110wt_905)
-tracking (and checking the steering gear)
-Refurb another leo for spare and fit tyre
-another tyre needed
-replace studs that are wrong length on rear hub, got some subaru 63mm ones
-New exhaust, don't want sporty look just simplicity
-Weld the sills + front valance (inc removing radiator so coolant change also)
Also my tape player doesn't work

The rollers and head don't retract and the motor doesn't drive the tape reels just squeels
Finally, i'm getting a lot of interference when receiving transmissions on the CB radio only while the engine is on. I have seen that the spade connector on the coil is for 'radio interference supresssion' but do i just earth it? use a capacitor thing like on the alternator? any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for looking,
Matt

There's a static discharge strap at the drivers side at the front. According to the manual it's to stop the interferance from the engine.

Right,
I've ordered a diff cover gasket from mac, should arrive soon. Hopefully theos dash should arrive soon too, might have been lost in the dark abyss that is royal mail

Tomorrow I get some 740 leather seats, will need work to fit but for 30 quid its worth it. Might nik the tape player and some switches too. Gonna order a new rear wheel bearing in next couple of days too. 2 new studs to be fitted in the same hub which I have got. Just need a new half shaft gaitor and the car should be feeling much better. Are the oils listed in the handbook ok to use for gearbox and diff or is there something better?
Any info on fitting 700 rear seats would be good, think the fronts should be easy(er)
Thanks for looking
Matt
