No problem Andy. I've told them both to allow a little "wiggle room"!

A couple of personal things have cropped up this week which probably mean we won't be making it now. Which is a darned shame considering the weather forecast too!
Apologies.

We've lost Steve and family, but gained another attendee via the VOC, so that's a bit of good news.

Well...not the part about losing Steve, but you know what I mean..!
Ok...here's a rundown of the weekend itinerary...
Friday PM
Those who are staying in the area (Mac & Debbie, Myself, Rupert and Chris, plus maybe Speedy?) arrive, and head to the pub...specifically the
Turfcutters Arms at East Boldre
I don't think many people will be about, so no accomodation / camping has been organised by us. If you're planning to come down, arrange your own! I suspect you'll be able to stay at the Saturday night stop-over I'll be announcing tomorrow, so that might be your first port of call.
Saturday AM
Meet at
Sutton Scotney (Southbound) Services on the A34 at 11am.
Once everyone has turned up, go for our drive to the first "checkpoint" - the
The Horse & Groom at Woodgreen. They have asked for advanced food options if at all possible, although I said we probably couldn't...I'll put the menu in a separate post, just so I can say I've done it, but don't feel obliged to do anything about it!
The two suggested routes are as previously detailed...
Long:
http://tinyurl.com/6xqxjg4
Short:
http://tinyurl.com/64w4wst
I think the other details are in previous posts. Tomorrow I should have details of the campsite for the Saturday night. I'll sort out that menu for lunch on Saturday next...
cheers

I've provisionally "booked" us in to this campsite for the Saturday night:
http://camping.forestholidays.co.uk/cam ... msley.aspx
It's a bit more of a trek than we'd hoped for, but all the ones closer are closed (end of season) now. They have toilets and showers, etc. I haven't actually booked us in, as I have no idea how many people will be turning up with tents, etc, but they have circa 600 pitches, and 400 are still free with 2 days to go, so I think we're safe. Allow £10-15 for your camping, and you should have change.
The only thing the guy said was that if they are concerned, we may have to pay a £20 "behaviour deposit" per pitch on arrival, to be refunded if we are good.
cheers

Looking forward to the weekend - looks like a good attendance. Just to let you know James that my friend Oliver is sharing the driving with me, so there will be two of us on the Sunday (in case you need accurate numbers).
