I felt a bit guilty about running a 3 door 360 as a family car and was on the lookout for a 5 door to replace it. Then I realised it's actually easier to strap in the kiddie when sitting facing backwards on the back of the folded seat (if that makes sense). Much easier than leaning in from the side.
All you young guns take note, this will be useful information if you intend to still be driving a Volvo 300 in 10 years time.

Something to do with your driving style probably Chris
Only on the 2nd set of tyres here The 2nd set got put on just after 20,000 miles I think, and that was because of the age, they still had good tread. No idea about brake pads...

... it does your back in a bit! Banged the back of my head on the C-pillar a fair few times too. I've taken lately to letting her crawl in and out by herself, she tends to stamp on the door seal though, cringe
Young 'uns - a great family car, the 300. All you need to do is put the rear seat back in and unweld the diff. No Scenics or Zafiras necessary.
We could start a new thread on this, Aaron "The 300 as a family car". I wonder how many replies that would get

The GLT I bought last year (not the GLi I was on about earlier) came with winter tyres from 1994. Don't know how people can keep tyres for so long!
The reason I got my first 300 is I liked my parents so much when they bought it. Got it new when I was 4, sold it when I was erm... 7 I guess, maybe 8. Only sold it as Mum and RWD generally involve her spinning For some reason she's never embraced the sideways-ness.
I'm guessing they thought it was a good family car!
I learnt to drive first as a tiny on my dads knee steering the tractor, then driving a Landrover 109 up and down forestry tracks, and then took to the road once old enough in Volvo 240's. Passed my test in a 240 estate!

Hmm Hmm I thought this thread was supposed to add up the total mileage of all contributors to it not individual milestones (excuse the pun);however I am really envious of those people who take photos of special numbers Lets say on average 1,000 members x say 100,000km average per member I make that 100,000,000 km Not bad eh
cheers mickt

I've done 40,000 ish in Kar, 200 ish in the red/pinky thingy and about 25 in Fake
Lets change that. Kar's B14 blew up ~125 (I'll have to look), Beast managed 1500 before I stripped her, and Fake, well, I had the milage wrong, she'd done 168,000 at that point. However.
Are there any other known B172's made 200?
