That will be one nicely preserved engine bay
210.000 miles with a Renault 1.7 ... astounding! Haven't reached that even with my B200 (yet).
I'm sure you'll love the power increase!

Yep F7R Bottom end, 1.8 head, 33mm Megane spec inlet valves. Chipped ECU, should make good power and Torque.
Engine just been running, sounds sweet, currently trying to find out why the fuel reg is leaking.......

No standard one sits in end of rail on 2 diff size o rings.

Just taken car out for a test and goes extremely well, especially considering a sensible lowered rev limit for engine running in purposes.
Fuel reg sorted by swapping out with another and slightly greasing the o rings.
Just water pump to swap out tommorow as current one is weaping.

No running on a non flipped manifold, has to be kept totally standard.

That's a bit of a bugger, although I seem to remember Chris having a cunning plan for the heater? Suppose it keeps the cost down as flipping the inlet manifold is the expensive bit isnt it?

I keep thinking about how the valver fits into regulations. For road rallying i thought you were allowed to change the engine as long as you kept the standard intake system and it has to be the same manufacturer. (May be complete rubish as i have never really looked into it). How does it work? do they class the valver as the same manufacturer because the original engine was a Renault unit?
