Bump!
Right...good news: After much delay (mainly involving a certain 345 taking up several weekends of my time in late summer), everything else is out of the way, and I'm ready to get the 1983 360 GLT ready to meet its maker.
Bad news: I plan to pick it up from its current resting place next Monday morning, and weight it in either later that same day, or first thing on the Tuesday.
There's not a huge amount good about the car, to be honest...it's had a good long life, and is showing its age, especially in terms of the bodywork. So far, I'm planning to remove...
Interior (sexy early GLT stripey goodness) incl door cards.
Rear doors (not rusty - keeping for my collection).
Front struts.
Halfshafts.
Anything minor anyone else wants.
Now the optional / time-dependent stuff starts...
Gearbox.
Torque tube.
...anything major anyone else wants.
So, gentlemen (and ladies)...any last requests? I've got a day. Anyone free next Monday to lend a hand...?
cheers
James

Mine is a 1983 model, so it doesn't have the ARB drop-link mounts you need...that is 87 (or so) onwards.

Hi Foggy,
If you strip it down far enough to get at it I would'nt mind the heater control cable for the vents if it's not broke. How much + postage?
Regards,
Morg

I doubt I'm going to get that far (mainly because it's a pig to get off the control end), but I'll see how I get on.

For which engine? There are different ratios...
The box from this car is taken, but I may still be able to help.
cheers

It'd be easiest for me to find a complete handle for you to cannibalise. I probably won't have time to pull the one of this car (it takes a while...), but I think I will have one on the shelf. Keep in touch...

James,
I am looking for the top mount of the McPhersons (3212267 (or 3200021), parts screwed with 3 screw to the inner wing) and the bushing 3268720.
Don't mind the condition but I'll need to gather at least 60 of them before I can start reproduction.
I see you've got 3 cars to scrap so that could mean 6 of each...

Hi Robbert,
60! Crikey! You have quite a job ahead of you
I will have quite a few worn ones available in due course, as I have at least two sets to replace, plus whatever I have on spare struts. If it helps reproduction ones to appear, I'm happy to make them available. Exactly when I have them in my hands is another question...
cheers

4 speed or 5 speed? I have a B14 5-speed box with a worn input shaft bearing, but the diff will be AOK.
cheers
