It's a potential realisation of the impossibilty of using two cars regularly

Take the 360 to work a couple of times a week. Does the S70 fit in the garage?

I did also toy with perhaps cheaping out on the daily... perhaps replacing the S70 with something like an Audi A2 TDI that does upto 70mpg
But then there's the purchase price... !
Perhaps a daily that would fit in the garage would work

I thought the same at one point (pre-S70), but a colleague has an A2, and is underwhelmed. It doesn't normally get remotely close to 70+mpg, especially on the motorway, where it's being worked too hard to be economical. Not good, bearing in mind that an S60 D5 will do 60+mpg on the motorway.
Start looking for a larger garage...or a house to rent/buy with that girlfriend of yours before she runs off with Rupert
Killer threadjack, BTW. Love it!
cheers

Took long enough to find this garage, there is no way an S70 will fit in an 'average' garage and I'm not paying for anything bigger than a lockup.
This is wholelly spurred on by scurrying a deposit together for a house... so some penny pinching may need to happen

I did even look at MG ZS 115bhp TD's... I figure old school diesel, no dual mass flywheel or injectors to worry about, 260nm and good handling can't be all that bad... Chris's housemate rated his, in most circumstances it'd probably be quicker than the S70. £1500 for a 6yr old car with under 90k miles aint bad either.
Anyway yeah, oops threadjack... although it doesn't matter too much as the GLT sold, and the GL is old news
