It looks like I will be taking the 340 up to the pod on sunday the 22nd, I am going with a few mates, ( renault 5 gtt, mk1 golf gti, mk2 golf gti, and maybe a 550 bhp mitsi 3000 gto) It would be great if Im not the only volvo there, and I need to get my 300 in the 14's, any takers?

I'd be up for it, but I'd like to get my suspension sorted a bit better first! Maybe if a few people are going I could be talked into it :)

cheers

Well after trying to contact a few place i'm not getting anywhere with track rental, the airfield by me didn't get back to me and nor did curborough, emailed silverstone asking about their carparks as I know they can set up tracks from cones there but they told me this wouldn't be possible and the minimum price for the smallest circuit section is a bargain at £4,250 plus vat lol, then add another £500 + vat if you want it to be a weekend or bank holiday lol, to hire the grand prix circuit its £19,500 + vat!!!! I don't think we're going to find anywhere cheap enough which is an actual track so if anyone knows any old airfields round them? etc,
cheers

Bovingdon is a possibility, very near where I used to live, nice big tarmac.

Had a quick google for Bovingdon but didnt find anything other than lots of old information about the airfield, do they use it for motorsports at all?
Haven't managed to find a direct site for Elvington, lots of information about general trackdays from other sites but it sounds pretty good, plently of run off areas and no sound limit  worth an enquirey if anyone can find a contact,
cheers
