Found a nice 360 graveyard today. It's near Yatala, handy for Brisbane 360's!
You lucky devil! Something like that over this side would be nice :)

Yep, I've got one MK 3 360 GLT B200E Rode red. Love the Volvo. My Dad owned one in England hence the love. Just doing spray painting at Ithaca Tafe, so I can completely refurb the baby. Just got new front Bushes from Fulcrum. Road worthy in two weeks. Might be moving onto to the Vulva 440 Next

Hi everyone! Pettaw was right I do live in Cardwell...Cat 5 cyclone Yasi hit here on February 2nd/3rd, with the eye crossing the coast at around 12 midnight. Huge amounts of damage all over the town and quite a few other towns close by...winds gusting up to (and over) the 330 km per hour mark. I'm situated approx 8km south of Cardwell and tucked in nicely behind Hinchinbrook Island, which is the largest island national park in the southern hemisphere (I think) we didn't fair too badly at all, compared to others living in town, who copped the full force winds, tidal surge and subsequent flooding.

If anyone would like a bit of a sticky beak, there's some pre/post Yasi pics of the local primary school on their website... http://cardwellss.eq.edu.au/wcmss/image ... e.yasi.pdf

Plenty of other things I could tell you, but the main thing you guys would be interested in, the Volvo (a.k.a the little rocket) was 200km away in Townsville at the time of the cyclone, so suffered no damage at all. :360: My daughter has recently bought herself a brand new Mazda 3, so I'm now the very pleased 360 owner. :D

Pettaw has just been for a visit (Saturday of Queens birthday weekend) and of course went to work on the rocket, with the 3 of us tinkering away (Andrew the only one who knew wtf he was doing!) she now has a new lease on life, running as lean as a thoroughbred and ready to be my daily runabout...I've ordered a set of tie/track rod ends and when they arrive the girl will be back in full service again.

Cheers all! sm4

Great news Figgy!

As an bit of an aside, I've always wanted to visit Cardwell, the reference above I made as it's my surname.

I know this is old, but just thought I'd say I'm from the Darling Downs, and I bought my 360 from a guy in Toowoomba. Pretty sweet deal, only a few things wrong with it. Great condition.

Although I have never EVER seen another 360 on the road around here. I'm a loner on these roads. And our mechanic looked them up and only found 2 others in wrecking yards in Queensland. Hmmm...

Volvo wanted to charge me $500 dollars for a brand new fuel pump. Screw that...

Hiya williswoody, welcome aboard! :D

Volvo dealers...er, I mean stealers sure know how to charge, luckily for us we can scrounge most parts elsewhere! sm4

Ahoi! Sweet as, yeah thats right. I did order a replacement second-hand genuine fuel pump from the Sunshine Coast, but it was leaking as well. So they are now ordering me an aftermarket one... which is brand new I think. That was $270.00 but thats the cheapest i could find.

Whereabouts are you from? Town-wise I mean?

Sounds like you've got your fuel pump sorted now then.
I'm from a tiny town in North Qld, Cardwell...you may have heard of it on the news earlier in the year.
