Having rang them to check their Easter opening hours earlier in the week, and told by 2 people that they were open Good Friday 9-5, after a 150 mile journey there this morning, I can confirm quite categorically that they are not in fact open on Good Friday at all
That's 7 hours, 300 miles and over £50 in fuel wasted. Not a happy boy!!
Do you know who you spoke to? Ask to speak to Chris. Tell them you saw the advert that Adam posted on the internet for him about the 343 and explain you were mistold about the opening hours.
Like i said i have been using them for years, they are a family run business and extremely helpful.

Thanks Adam. Chris emailed me back to apologise, and offered a discount if I did want any parts, so that's okay. Probably a genuine mistake, but highly annoying!
Mr Plaxton and his one-man (with help from Robbert!) crusade against "mks" strikes again. All well and good, but every time model years are brought up, there has to be a multiple-post debate, complete with adenoid-ridden "I think you'll find"s...! All good fun
To those of us who regularly play the game Rich's rebukes are perfectly normal - a more anally retentive I have never met!
(god-dammit the man even changed all my carefully introduced anti plagiarism spelling mistoooks in my carb article).
I sometimes worry that John takes our jibes to heart, (please don't my friend - we abuse each other far more - and it really is all in fun)

No worries Mac. Richard and I go way back...sometimes we have to put each other back in line. It's all good.
I've just never let my "Evil Twin" out in public, otherwise he would be in trouble.

I'm off to get some parts from this car for my Mk1
Any advice on windscreen removal would be appreciated! I'll be doing a search on here later but this is a bit of a rush job last minute thing, due to a gap in work tomoorow and not Monday as I'd planned. I'm getting tools ready now, advice on getting front screen stainless trim out without damage would be most usefull and save time!
When you're there, do you mind taking a few more photos? I'd be interested to see what the condition of the interior is like, particularly the seats, rear parcel shelf, door cards, door pockets etc ... My LHS door pocket is cracked, and the interior might be worth a quick trip to the UK if it's any good!
EDIT: I kind of suspect the interior on that car will be blue though (not black) ...
Tom the interior is Blue in that car, i have the door cars here as im going to use them on my 340 T5 build as i need flat door panels for the rollcage. From memory one seat was torn and one rear inner quarter panel has damaged

It's rare that a complete Mk1 gets broken - didn't want to miss the opportunity of nabbing an intact interior The black seats on mine have turned brown over time, and there are one or two holes in the covers.
