Now don't take this the wrong way, but if you'd spent a 1/10th of the cost of the Panda on having a garage repair the 340, and doing a little preventative maintainance, I think you'd have a reliable ride for the next few years without any of that evil depriciation. Anyhow, enjoy the Panda, and keep us informed of how you get on with getting the 340 back on the road.

Have you checked the idle solenoid on the carb to see if it is working?

what consumption do you get from the panda ? I would guess about 30 miles to the bamboo shoot would be good
