Well he is right about that there shouldn't be much pressure in there. Oil should be there and engine stalling when removing the cap is normal. :P (At least normal for fuel injected engines. About carbs I'm not sure does it have any effect)

You might wanna check the flame trap and the breather hose that those are not clogged. That would cause some pressure there. I cannot help with those though because I don't have original system because of the turbo. :P Someone else can explain that better. But basically there is this black box under the intake manifold. The flame trap is connected to the black box and there is hose going from the flame trap to somewhere in to the intake. Flame trap comes off and so does the hose. Those might get clogged so it is wise to check and clean them sometimes. Little pressure is ok though for older engine but if it is blowing out of air so that it is very noticable then the breather system might be in need of cleaning.

Thank you!
I will check those things tomorrow. Little pressure is normal for older engine, like you said. Is it because the engine is worn out?

Damn... i opened the, what do you call it in english, tank where you fill glycol. And the water was blue and clear BUT i saw 2-3 small (1-2 cm) spots, that was kind of rainbow colored. I really hope not its oil in there?
If it is i can go straight to the scrapyard tomorrow. The old man who had the car since it was new, have done all services and keept it i great condition, so i was really suprised when i found those spots of whatever it is... There shouldnt be any rainbowcolored film in this tank at all? Nomather how small they are?

'rainbow'ness is ok generally. what you are looking for is something that looks like mayonaise or salad creme on the top of the coolant filler tank and on the oil filler cap. a bit of 'rainbow' is just a side-effect of anti-freeze

5lab, no mayonaise or salad creme looks. Just the rainbow stuff...
Are you serious about the anti-freeze issue? Cuz i had a friend over who told me that my car was ready for the scrapyard, he claims that the rainbow-looks is caused by oil. F ex if you drop a small amount of oil in a glass filled with glycol, then the oil floats on the surface rainbow-like.
He told me that he could buy the car and try to fix it, but i dont trust him... He doesnt want to pay more then £36

If someone tells you that your car is worthless and should be scrapped, and then offers to buy it, you have a right to be suspisious... :|

Yes i know, but as you can see im a real n00b when it comes to cars, so i cant tell whats normal and whats not. I have done a few search regarding glycol and oil, and all i have found is that the glycol in the coolant filler tank should be perfectly clear (blue, red or orange)

all solvents have that rainbow effect - oil and antifreeze both do. it might be there is a tiny amount of oil in there, but you only need to worry when you get mayo

As long as the car runs well I wouldn't worry, I doubt the engine is worn out, the B200's are known to go on for pretty much ever if well maintained. People try to convince me to scrap my car for a newer one all the time! However, if it still runs well, and importantly works, why bother? I'd be suspicious as MJ says!

You are right, but still annoying if there is oil in the coolant. There shouldnt be. Is there a way of telling if its oil or normal? I have got a saab 95 -02 also, i have to take a look tomorow if its the same in there...

LOL, well, they may be stationary and currently unused, but they are far from dead and scrapped! They're are waiting for their revival.
