Are the carbs made of Mazak? It was Mazak casting in ME that said carbs are a plentiful source.

Why anyone would want to cast with the worlds most flipping awful material is beyond me (well, apart from the low melting point, better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order...)

Now you've had some practice, I've got a carb top on Abby that's like that, well I think it is, as someone/thing has caused that side of the air filter flange to bend at a jaunty angle.
