You HAVE slapped me with the kipper, and that was just for the static LED's ;)

Bode, yeah, sure mate, work has slowed to an incredible halt lately, due to a big uni project, but hopefully I'll be able to sort you out with something. Do you know much electronics? At the moment, I think the best way is if I get it running to a point where I am happy, then I'll send you the required chip, preprogrammed (as you can't reprogram the thing itself, I'm in the process of a custom driver for it) and tell you how to wire everything up. That way, I'll be able to knock up a howto, and just tell whoever wants one to get teh chip from me, or if they can burn chips, give them the source code.

That sounds great!
The IC is in a brand new 480 dash. A friend of mine has a fried dash wich will be fixed by a colleague at volvo.
He will use the new dash untill his own is fixed. After that I get the new one.

I am a complete n00b at electronics but with a good how-to-guide I can do a lot.
