All those 5 cylinders sound awesome... its the tuned intake and downpipes they have... those engines have two inlet pipes per cylinder, different pipe according to rpm and engine load.
All the 5 cylinders, or just the higher end ones? My dad's 850 sounds good, but not stunning. The sound is very unique though, you can tell another in an instant. :)

I only get to drive it on a few select days when I'm going to and from uni, as to have insurance on it all the time = $$$ :(

Once I gave it some in third gear from 30 and it did sound great. Shocking how quickly it got to just under 70 :D

They need a bit of an 'exhaust' to get the full effect. The old 2.5 suffers badly from cracked liners if turbocharged. I'm not sure how they got round it with the new 2.5 turbos (e.g. S60R/V70R)...more stroke, I presume.

Might as well drop a complete stock early T5 in. The weaker rods won't be a concern to you unless you're planning to start tweaking it, but 220bhp ought to be enough for you to get started on :) I mean how many of us worry about the fact that 90% of 360s with B200s got the 'weak' rods?

cheers

Yeah I was thinking a stock T5 engine, running the T5 injection system - 220bhp, as you say is plenty... til you turn all Griz and get a quest for silly power

I suppose it's certainly possible, as there's that guy with a 3.0 straight six twin turbo in a 300 - not sure if it's mounted yet though - and I wondered how close things like engine mounts were?!

For that inline 6 twin turbo you need to do some chassis works to make it fit, also custom mounts are always needed as far as I know.

Lot of welding and planning needed anyway.

From Pukema's site you can find this document (850 engine):
http://www.pukema.com/vitmotor.pdf

There is engine mounts and they are far off, near flywheel side.

Also from Pukema's site you can find is project page:

He writes that needed to cut hole to engine bay and passenger room wall (firewall, eh?) also he writes that probably needs to move pedals a bit, so major work.

Also there you can see pics from 6 cylinder engine and engine mounts.

Only one way to find out...:D

I'd probably pick up a cheap car to practice on...and a field to store it in sm56

cheers
