I can honestly say having seen that car that it is immaculate! Looking good mate. The GLT lip spoiler that they added to the car by accident when new really does set it off nicely. Look after it.

Yeah, ditto to the other comments, having seen that car in the flesh, it is just rude! It did take the p*ss out of all the rest of us who turned up having had very busy weeks (and not time to wash our cars ;))

Those pics don't have autoflatter, it really is that tight

Yeah, I love the boot lip. When I see ones without it, they look incomplete. Kinda like 850 estates without a spoiler above the boot.

I think shes at about 29k miles at the mo.

Yeah the boot spoiler lip does look much better, strangely its bolted on too.. for such a small piece of plastic thats a bit overkill

I'd rather Volvo fitted a subtle spoiler 'ontop' of the bootlid rather than on the leading edge, it'd make reversing alot easier, plus look better imo.

Well I don't know about you but I always shut the boot with the spoiler. It's at the back and it dosn't put fingerprints on the paint ;) Therefore bolts are very usefull ;)

How about a scuby spoiler :)

Fingerprints are the least of my worries with 600 miles of winter dirt on the car

Bolting things on is the only way... ask the max power boys with when they get attacked by the guy in fronts lip spoiler on cruises...

You mean the one they stuck on with sellotape and sticky pads earlier? Or the one that came free with the magazine? You're right MJ, they do look incomplete without the lip, sets it off nicely, and as you say makes a good grip point. I've been having problems shutting the boot on my variomatic, as there is no spoiler on the hatch, that'll have to change.

You're all lying...the car is even cleaner than those pictures suggest. Surely the cleanest 300 I've seen in a long long time. I'd even say that's got Ted Brown beaten. Richard Dodd possibly not, but then he repaints his wheels everytime they hammer balancing weights on sm56

Tell you what MJ...if I'm leaving from Devon, hire a trailer and I'll tow you most of the way :D The moral victory will be mine....good thing, because the BKV wouldn't be...

cheers

Sounds like a plan, I'll just have to hire one for the weekend, and get a large sheet to put over the car to protect it from stone chips ;)

Can I borrow your car for my next rally MJ? I'm not enjoying missing rally's, and a little birdie tells me my next rally will be in a fwd motor :(

Go on, you know you want too
