I've been shouting eBay at Mick for days :)

If it weren't for the insurance, I could buy this car, drive it to a work for a week, and it'd pay for itself! This car is a complete STEAL!

cheers

James

Won't someone but this car? 2l saloon goodness, surely it's gotta be fun?

I'd think about having it myself had I not just been on a spending spree with the Redline.

How come there's never anything like this around when I need a new car?

honestly dont know what it would fail the mot on ,
it certainly drives ok.
it was a bit smokey when we first got it started but I think that was because it had been standing for a couple of months.
shes a bit rattly when first started but Pete says thats quite common and she quietens down when warmed up ,

the faults I know of are
the choke cable sticks when you pull it out but to be honest it has been starting fine without the choke even in this weather,
the central locking dosent work (its the drivers door one thats gone and is easy to replace) ,
the sunroof is sealed ,
one headlight wiper ( petes got me a replacement)and the aerial are missing.

the reason I didnt put it on ebay was because I wanted to give the two interested parties (bennet and 360 ) every chance of having it first , Bennet is now sorted with a car and I am not sure if 360 is back from the states yet

Yea never scrap it!

A mate of mine had a volv 440 which he was considering scrapping at the cost of £25 to him for some one to take it off his hands.

(some people have a license to print money)

So he put it on ebay and got £46 for it so job well done!

well thanks to Carl and Chris-c it looks like the car may be saved and we might even get a new club member out of it.
A friend of theirs called Nick is coming up Tuesday week and all being well is having the GLE

That's what I like to hear!

We're gradually persuading the whole motor club to buy a 300 :)

as per my other post , Chris and Nick have just left with the 360 and are heading back to Southampton as I am writing this ,
I'm glad its gone to someone who will get use out of it and not to the scrappy ,
Chris hads already offered Nick £50.00 for the p.a.s so even if it fails its mot he wont lose any money ,

so looks like we have saved another car and got a new member in the bargain
