Donington Park are having a track day on the 12th March.

I'm not suggesting we take our own cars out, but it could be fun to have a laugh at the Nova Boys doing their thing? Handy for the motorway, too.

Ooooooo!!!! We could burn outs wiff em and everyfink!!!!!

Chav tastic!!

Hahaha, your right though cornholio, it would be great fun to laugh the fwd torque steering antics of a bunch of chavs. But with fairness some of the modifications the boy racers do are quite well done and well presented.

How about we keep it in Notts so we could do something in the town, also are there any decent local scrappies???

Do we really want another scrappy trip at a meet? Its something we can all do during the week, and it really seemed to split up the last one. Although, odds are I won't be at this one, so I'll keep out.

at the end of the day we just need a car park and somewhere to get a drink and some food ,
anything else is a bonus, we usually spend more time gassing ( no pun intended James ) than taking in the local scenary
If Gavin gets his finger out we could have a prancing moose sticker fitting session as the highlight of the day lol

The trouble with doing something in Nottingham would be finding a place to park. One possibility would be to meet at Trent Bridge. There's a pub there with a car park; if that's full you can leave your car on the embankment. Hmm, it would be nice to see a line of 300s parked up in front of the Memorial Gardens; great photo opportunity. There are no football matches that day, so it shouldn't be too busy. The MK Dons are due on 25 March, so if you bring your tent Mick you can wait and see Forest try and get their revenge . For those interested in such things, Hooters would be a ten minute walk away.

Having said that, Gunthorpe could still be good (http://www.nottspubs.co.uk/pubs/gunthorpepubs.html). It is 20 minutes out of Nottingham. However, it's not far off the A46 so hopefully it will be handy for people coming from Newark. You know, we wouldn't want anyone to run out of...

I was leaving the location to Cornholio but he seems to busy with his prancing mooses .
OK guys and gals, some ideas.

Hooters - http://www.hooters-uk.com/
For:
Look at the website
Close to city centre (10mins walk)
Against:
Look at the website
Also, I’ve never been so not sure what the car park is like

Donington Park - http://www.donington-park.co.uk/trakzone/
For:
Close to M1
Car-centric venue
Against:
May be a bit boring just watching other guys driving round the track
Could be cancelled due to weather

Trent Bridge
For:
Parking
Not too far to walk into Nottingham (20mins)
Easy to find off M1
Against:
‘Trendy’ pub
Last time I went they said the restaurant was scheduled to be closed. However, there are other places nearby

Gunthorpe
For:
Decent-ish pub (Unicorn)
Handy for the Newark and Doncaster roads
Bags of parking space
Nice for walks by river
Against:
A bit out of the way
Nothing much to do other than eat, drink and walk by river...

need space to drift?

I don't think we should turn all of our meets into drifting in public places, it's alot of fun but its also risky at the same time.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make this one, might be in Scotland - but we'll see!
