My parents had a Xantia for a while, the 1.9 TD from memory. Quite a nice car in all honesty, however the seats were terrible, the most uncomfortable seats I've ever had the misfortune to sit in on a long journey, second to the Volkswagen Passat Estate (04 plate). Luckily the suspension had been sorted before they got it, however just after they sold it to my Uncle, one part broke, costing quite a bit of money and meant the suspension wouldn't raise at all!

I do like the BX in an odd way, it's different and retro......back on topic!

Nice one Steve, will have a read of that later.

I've grown up with Citroens (my Dads a Citroen trained mechanic) so I know them well-ish myself, and if it goes really wrong I can enlist the help of my Dad :)

She's coming along nicely. Hopefully a few weeks and she'll be ready to be sold :)

wash your mouth out right now lol,

I know they are a pita when they go wrong but they are lovely when they are running right ,
IMO the only thing on the road that looks better than a bx 16valve is the limited edition GTI hurricane in british racing green (same bodykit just no 16v)

In some ways they are really easy to work on too though. For example tomorrow I'll be changing the 'dampers' - this will be a 10 minute job. But of course, being a FWD car with a relatively large twin cam engine, plus all the hydraulic gubbins working in the engine bay can be a pain - the cambelt (also doing that tomorrow) is quoted as a 3.5hr job :(

You mean the Triton Green one's mick? Nice colour! I know of a Hurricane TD for sale that has the 16v bodykit (it's actually a mixture of phase 1 and 2 kits). I prefer the look of the entire phase 2 kit personally (like mine). And you can get 16vs in Triton Green but they're pretty rare (cost option at the time). Like this one:

Gorgeous.

Anyways, I should probably stop raving about Citroens before I get banned
