That's pretty nasty stuff mate. The car coped with being crashed, a true testament to Volvo and their strength, and enabled him to carry on his drunken rampage. Lucky no one else was injured it seems.

and so far no-one has owned up to this heanous act

but what the hell its given a few people a laugh ,

yes I did sell it and its since been sold on to someone Adam (340glt )knows who is a student at Swansea university, so hopefully the old girl will be resurrected in all her glory

it was imported here by an english guy so it could be possible?

All 1.7 have the renix ignitiion and most have the solex carb - not sure which ones got the webber. The difference with the redline is only trim.

my redline had a weber but that was a replacement fitted by a garage for a previous owner it cost him over £300.00 .

and no Germ , unfortunately I don't have a 300 any more
( dodges rocks and other foriegn objects being thrown ),

I have just sold my calibra and now have a 1989 1.6 golf driver auto with 17 inch alloys on it
