I agree Dai ,
and four wheels with tyres for £20.00 is a bargain especially when we even live in the same county,
in fact its only 38 miles from Beaconsfield to Milton Keynes ,
come on Sam you know it makes sense lol

I reckon it would be easier to drive them down than posting them, especially as there are five. It also even with the fuel price rise is probably cheaper (plus how do you post a tyre, does it have to be deflated so its not a compressed gas container?) as for price well I was actually thinking £5-10 a wheel plus "postage" (well petrol, and the car probably will go down at about a 35 mpg).

I'm just writing on this topic, because I'm also interested in any wheels that people have got available. Doesn't have to be 13", 14 is fine, but will prefer with (road legal) tyres at the moment.
Anything's useful, but will prefer sets of 4.
Thanks guys.

Hi Ben what do you want the wheels for?
Smoking or just daily use?

Dai,
I'm looking to keep the wheels that come off it for smoking definately, and then depending on what I can find, keep a second set for smoking and a full set for normal use. My original plan was to try and get hold of some minilites or equivelant for regular use, but other than that, anything not in terrible condition will become my daily use.
Thanks
Ben

Dai,
Very interested mate, if you can give me an idea of price then I'd love to sort something out in the new year (once all my cash has cleared).
Redline: Depends what happens with my financial situation. If I can get hold of the money then I'll be very tempted to those (as long as they fit right, and I can get the VW badge off

).
Thanks very much for the quick reply guys.

Volkswagen Golf Mk2 PCD - 4x100 Offset - 35 to 40 Bore - 57.1
Volvo 440 PCD - 4x100 Offset - 35 to 45 Bore - 52.1
centre bore on the golf is bigger but apart from that they are a good match ( had to compare against 440 as no listing for 340/360 but we know 440 alloys fit ok )

just found this
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DEALS-ON-ALLOY ... Guide.html
it not only lists the 340/360 but it says except for centre bore 4 stud vw and volvo rims are a perfect match

If you do get Redlines wheels, you'll need to get some spigot rings, which arn't easy to find for the 300 centre bore (Mick, did you get them when you had Vauxhall wheels on the redline?)

Eh? What are you on about Chris - if the centre bores are the same as Mick suggests, then they'll fit a 300 perfectly. Well, as perfectly as VW wheels go on Volvo

to be fair Chris is right the centre bore of the golf rims is 57.1 compared to volvos 52.1, so you should ideally fit spigot rings ,
mind you the vauxhall rims I had on my redline had a 56.5 centre bore and I never bothered but then again the redline never saw any intentional sideways action

Eh? Last I read Mick, you said the centre bore was the same on the VW rims. Ahh, easiest thing to do is just buy bloody Volvo wheels

Well, If it's going to require spiggot rings (which I gather are quite difficult to get for the Volvo, even from other sources) then I'll probably pass mate, if not then I'm very interested, but obviously offer them elsewhere as I don't have the money at the current time.
Thanks mate,
Ben
