I'll not be in the area then...it'd have to be earlier for me. I'll probably not be in a 300....although....I think the 343 will still have MOT...hmm!
cheers

Hmm I was thinking of more like early-mid December, I think most people will be busy between Christmas and New Year

The earliest I could manage is Sunday 23rd. A day before Christmas Eve, doubt whether many can make it then
Never mind, next time

Yeah... I would... but I love the peaks...
I can't do between xmas and new year, my Cos is getting married then. I can't do the first two weekends either (1/2 and 8/9?) 15/16 would be perfect for me tbh, but depends on the others!

Hello Peeps,
Long time no post. I'd love to attend a meet in the Peaks at Christmas time, although there's a possibility that we'll be in France.

AHEM MR Farrell take 100 lines ,
I will not slag off French fwd tat especially when a moderator of this very forum owns a piece of said French fwd Tat
( albeit a very fast piece of french fwd tat that eats 300's for breakfast

)

That's a very valid point Mick...
...why are you still a moderator?

I honestly dont know Dave ,
I have volunteered to resign my post on numerous occaisions but no one has taken me up on it ,
I do still visit regularly and even post now and again when I feel the need .
I still tell all 300 owners I meet about the forum and regularly talk to Pete , Chris ,Carl , Will and Josh on msn and pml Gavin and Mac now and again
its amazing that over a year on from selling the 300 I am still the second highest poster here ,
( nothing to do with my belief that all new members should receive a hearty welcome upon joining

)
I think part of it is the fact that this is far more than a forum for volvo 300 owners but a place where friendships are made and kept

Right... back on topic... we have a potential location of somewhere in the peak district and some time in December.....
What do people think on dates... and does anyone know of a good eatery/meeting place in the area
EDIT: also, what do people fancy doing? I've just come across this, looks quite interesting:

It doesn't eat all 300s alive

Don't make me sacrifice the one I have in our unit

LOL, Mick, by French tat, I meant the newer, elephant grey plastic dash ridden French FWD tat, a BX cannot be put in that category, anyway the 300 and the BX have relating history!
Yeah looks good Steve, always good to have something as a main point of interest to base the day around.

IMHexperience Matlock might be a good place to meet - its on an old highway through the area very atmospheric -when there last spring there was even a brand new big car park being constructed next to Matlock Station -should be finished by now
