Update: some of the old Volvo radios were also called "RS-xxxx" so make your search go something like this:
volvo (cr*, td*, rs*, mts) (radio*, cass*)
MTS radios were the top of the range at the time, so well worth looking for those too.
I wouldn't be so sure about the sound quality from an iTrip on an old radio. I've got an FM transmitter (which is the same thing I guess?) but the FM signal isn't that strong (limited by law AFAIK) which means the radio automatically switches to mono mode. So now I have a tape with a lead connecting to the mp3 player jack - much better sound quality!

Mine works much faster than that. IMHO you should see at least some effect (mist getting cleared near the heater wires) within a minute or two. It might take some time to clear completely, but that all depends on temperature and humidity. We've already had frost on the windows in the morning - the heater melts that away quite fast so I definitely know that it works.

That one looks perfect, Jay. Exactly what I want. I'm pretty sure my Mum had one just like it in her 340. Are you happy to let it go?

Might be worth checking the plugs that connect to the screen are on tight, I've had one come loose before. Look at the inside of the rear window, and a little black lead connects to the heating strips. I can't remember now if there's one plug each side, or joust one.
