The gauges aren't that important to me, you can have the gauges if i can have the striping
My car isn't much worth to show right now. It hasn't got 1 square inch without a scratch or dent.
I am collecting good plating, and i hope to fit everything soon and than te car can be painted. After that, the junior stripes come in handy because they look very good.
For now, my car is just a Volvo 360 '87 with a Hella grille, a set of auxiliary lamps on the front and 6-gauge panel + extra center-console panel.
It has a 2.3liter engine with fast head and fast cam and stripped back interior (front is completely in tact)

You've got second dibs on the snowcap, Aaron (after Jos360) but you're welcome to the bumper bolt covers. PM me your address so I can send them over ...
PM'd - and sorry for calling you "John" -

The knives weren't so much the problem, more the hours I spent compiling that list!

You need to check your *@volvo300mania.com emails more often

I believe I sent it to you & Chris some time in the summer? The scan of the Mk1/2 rev counter instructions too ...

True true true... I saw it but I had completely forgotten that it was for the Junior stripes...

Bit of a bugger about the speedo cable, didn't read the LHD bit.
Ah well, never mind.
I am keen on the guages and will take whichever set is right for the car - going to visit my Mum in hospital today, so will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks again,
Figgy.

Aymat, as I was saying to Tom, my stripes are the Silver/Grey set (the 4th colour) I'd like to get a set made up if I can't find any, I won't actually apply the stripes, so I'll pass them onto you after I've got a copy set I'm happy with. Or if I find a proper set first!
Tom, I'm getting tempted for the <79 GT Stripes, for when I get a mk1 (ffs, this is getting stupid!!!) if someone else calls them fine, if not, then I'll most likely take them!

Chris you're right, there's a fourth colour: 3212504 (Silver grey). If you pass them on to Aymat when you've made a template then that's great, everyone's happy
GT stripes are yours for the taking!
To be fair - and that applies to all the "stripe sets" - don't expect to peel them off, apply them, and have the car look just like it does in the brochures in five minutes. When they did this at the factory, or at the dealerships, they had people there who fitted stripes every day, had access to extra sets if they made a mess of it, and most important of all, the glue on the stripes was nice and fresh. I wouldn't expect to be able to fit a 30-year old set of stripes without a bit of extra glueing, and it might be an idea to make up a template BEFORE applying them, just in case things go wrong.
As I've emailed some people - the "Spring Special" stripes are really only interesting if you want to use them to make a template, or if you have that car and need them to repair a section. The part no. is only for the right hand side, and I think the front part of that is missing.
As for the "Film, L, 3416061" I have no idea what it is! If anyone manages to identify the part no (and the Hinge RH, 3431543-2) I'd appreciate it!
BTW: I have to say - after all the stick poor Steve got all these years ("Mr Stripe") and people asking about DE-striping their cars, I never expected so much interest in these ...

PM'd. It's quite easy to identify the Smiths dash - the rev counter goes to 8000rpm, whereas the VDO one goes only to 7000.
All the best for your mother ...

Thanks for that Durty, (I was chasing a new one...but they're a bit elusive...like finding rockin'-horse turds! lol) around about how much do they cost?

I'm game for the wiper arm, thanks Tom
Figgy - a car I'm breaking has a Smiths speedo cable on it, if you can't find one nearer to home.
cheers

Cheers for that Foggy, I'll keep it in mind...you wouldn't happen to have a spare rectangular trim that goes around the inside door handle/opener on the rear right hand door (pic below) would you?

James - I'll send you a PM I can't get one over here at all, they're either snapped up as soon as the wreckers get them in or cracked from the sun.
Thanks,
Anne.
