And that makes sense too, because white stands for vacuum and red for no vacuum. When the engine is turned off, the vacuum is gone.

Hi Pyro,

Econ gauge - you can just tap into any post throttle butterfly vacuum source but it's best to use the "factory" adapter that screws into the manifold in place of the blanking plug.

If you don't have the correct adapter PM me your address and I'll pop one in the post for you.

i received the adaptor off mac lastweek, but (if ive got the right blanking plug) is far to tight to get undone. any tips on getting them out?

Make sure you have a tight fitting 6-sided socket, then just lean on it reallly hard. I used the middle of the 3 iirc, no problems getting it out. If you manage it can I have the blanking plug please? I've misplaced mine
