good plan man.
perfect for a first motor.
tight enough to throw around, without killing yourself.

Heh, I wanted an ae86, but they're rare and pricey. And a bit overused.
Also, my mum had 2 3xx's, hit black ice with one going around an S bend once, drove it out the other side without any damage

Bit of nostalgia there

There's a mk2 1.4 for sale a bit closer to home. Take a look at the Volvo Owner's Club forum...
cheers

Gah, stabbed in the back!
Just kidding, I'm rather taken with the little 205 as a stopgap car, so all 300s are fair game as far as I'm concerned.

James, you're a ruddy swine. Give me informations on that, if it's within quick MOT I'll have it, maybe even if it isn't. Is it rotten? Argh! Why are you doing this to me?

No, it's another one, John. Yes, it's that one, Steve. I think it has now moved on. There were 3, maybe 4 1982 343DLs in that yellow colour all for sale within a year of each other. It was, frankly, bizarre.
Last thing I heard, it was available for £50...through some sort of trade source...but it must be the same car. There are neater ones about, but unless the underside is much worse than the outside, it should be MOT-able. My only concern would be any Vario weirdness I'd not be experienced in due to standing for a while.
I would call my mate, but he had a bit of a motoring mishap the other night, and has had his phone switched off ever since...
cheers

Very bizarre! I was after this vario one but then the manual one came up and was in better condition. I have pics of this yellow one if you're interested John. It's not in bad condition but a bit rough on some edges.

Thanks steve.
Tax reminder arrived yesterday, and this has now been put in the local supermarket. If nobody makes me an offer on this, it will be going to the scrapper on the 30th.
