That might explain it,
Touch o' understeer Johnny boy??????
Knew there was a reason I hadn't used 'em

Glad it's only your pride that's hurt - at least you'll have a good New Years eve story to tell
Cheers Ronnie, certainly wasn't a boring night. Cold, but not boring.

Just lockup. Pumped the brake obviously but it was too late. Weather example:
Looking at the first pic, maybe I should buy some additional lighting at bargain prices from a local enthusiast.

To avoid future mishaps man, can you not rig up a quick-release cabin mounted boot release?
Emergency last gasp air-brake or after that, possibly work as an handy escape hatch.

Or an ejector seat. Actually scratch that, inside is a lot safer than jet-propelled through the roof.
The mad thing is, it was fine for about 50 miles of lanes, and I'd consciously slowed down for the A5091, but this particular corner was just loads worse. The villager whose phone I borrowed said it's often a problem.
Still, it's probably because I'm a talentless spacktard.

Nah man, a spaktard woulndt have got any speed off, and would have hit a lot harder.
And may I add, I find your remark quite offensive.
My girlfriend suffers from spaktardedness actually.

Yes, how narrow-minded of me, I apologise for any offence caused. I should have said 'person of impaired decelleration'.

I can recommend something like this to you:
Hella FF320 Jumbo HID kit, I have heard that FF200 + HID would be better and lot smaller.
Also santa clearly forgot set of these at Christmas
They work quite well:

I'm commuting from the highlands to Edinburgh, Perth, stupid places like that, 300 round trips through a dark frozen wilderness - the car is caked in salt but still going strong. They grit like maniacs up here, but still getting plenty of wheel spin on the gradients. I'm thinking of covering the front end with some massive rally spec spots - but those HID's would be fun too.

FF320 is not exactly small
http://jtbo.pp.fi/images/image/road_pic ... G_7946.JPG
I know wilderness as I need to travel such places in my line of work too, sometimes I even try to take shortcuts
Experience has taught me that 1. thing you need is tires that are maximum grip available and 2. lights need to be something that bends legal terms a bit so that you can actually see something.
I just remembered that you are not allowed to have really good winter tyres in there, don't know if they even sell Continental Viking Contact 5, which is pretty good possible legal tyre there, these Nordic tyres are lot softer than central european versions which your shops probably stock, these are almost impossible to use at summer.

You can get same light with less money, if you are bit clever. Buy halogen version of Hella FF320 and buy one H7 Xenon conversion kit and you have same light, halogen lamp actually has all same stamps as HID version

Now I see why you are selling up all the other lights Sven... Gonna still need a mortgage for the daylighters!
Ronnie... whether you like the looks or not, this is where the Hella grills come into their own, you don't need to drill bumper and bonnet (you'll want stays).
