cheers guys for avice,took cowling off to see a screw missing,a good look later found it resting between two wires,put brown terminal wire back and screw and voila let there be light!!!
thanks once again.
p.s.isnt the handbrake mech cheap lol,replaced the silver square button with a nice anodised one,was laughing at how cheap the whole mech was.
