No, but if there is no other way then I would go for it. Need to hear from some other people who have ran carbs really to find out how they did it. :)

How rotten is the car? I'm working in Derby all of next week so could be worth my while heading over there and getting some parts, mainly cutting the back end off for the number plate panel :lol:

Looks fine. I think it's missing the engine, but that is all. This was a few weeks back though so I cannot guarantee it will still be there! It's at Looms'. Might be worth giving them a ring if you are not local to check if it's still around. Let me know if it is! :)

Yeah, I have heard from plenty of people that it has been around. :P I haven't found any real problems with it yet. Changed everything I knew about on the first day and it hasn't let me down in the three months I used it as my daily. :D I guess I'll find out if there is anything seriously wrong when it goes for MOT on Wednesday. :roll:

edit

Just checked the log book and it says it has only had five previous owners. I know the guy I bought it off did not register it in his name though as he got it from a mate, so who knows how many it has really had. :P

Thank you for the info kaos! :) I know the 1.4 box and diff will work but the orignal 1.4 screams at 70 in fourth so I think it needs changing really. :P And I have to have heaters! Didn't have any in my old E30 and it was awful through the winter. Removed the electric window motors too (I was on a bit of a mission, two seats and clocks were at that I left. :P) so only the sunroof to keep the windscreen from icing up on the inside. :lol: You're a braver man I than I! :lol: After that I promised myself to never go without heaters or a dash again.

edit;

A pic, seemed like a good idea at the time. :lol: Still the best car I have owned!

edit 2;

Cheeky snap of the outside as it would be rude not to! I really miss this car... :cry:

if its screaming, check the oil level in it. Mine never scream , and ive gone way past that, even with an f7p in mine. :)

Adam, will no doubt add to the list/modifiy again etc, but adam and dai on here can provide loom, bearings etc,

I don't mean scream as in literally the box is screaming, just the ratios are that short that at 70mph it sound like it's about 5k rpm. No idea if it actually is as I have no tacho. :P

edit;

So, I have cut many corners and bought the 2.0 F7R hybrid from filthyjohn. Hopefully picking it up Tuesday! :D Wont be fitted until after Christmas, but I can't wait! :lol:

You might find you have enough room to keep the original heater box, it's much smaller in the Mk2's compared to the Mk3's.
