Horn wiring
Re: Horn wiring
It might do on some cars, but not on 300's! I'd be taking it somewhere else
1989 - Volvo 360 GLT
1985 - Volvo 360 GLS
2008 - Volvo S60 SE Lux

Re: Horn wiring
It will probably go somewhere else when ready. This place is £45 for a pass or £25 for a fail and the extra £20 for a retest within 14 days. As I knew it was going into storage for the F7 swap and wont be ready for a few months £25 was better than the usual ~£50.

Re: Horn wiring
Ive had two 300 on lowering blocks and theyve both passed freely.
Ive had to argue front lowing springs the first time round, but they went through the second time fine.
MOT testers are a queer breed.

They are.
If that was all it had failed on I may have said something, but seeing as he handed over an essay (I think he used a treasury tag rather than a staple to hold it all together) I let it slide.
Does anyone know how to solve my horn query?

Re: Horn wiring
No worries.
On the Beemer it is just a small peg on a spring. I would imagine this would be similar, but I cannot even see where it would sit!
If someone could whip off their wheel and take a pic I would be much obliged.
Re: Horn wiring
There's 2 spring loaded points that stick out that don't appear to be there. I took my wheel off last weekend as I had some dashboard trouble. Just above the steering collumn, do you see two points? Thats what your horn ring rubs on.

Re: Horn wiring
Thank you Speedy88!
I'll have to take another look at mine now I know what to look for. Cheers!
