I also agree that in no way are we to put up or shut up and the car in question is modified in a way that is a pretty pointless, but it's hardly a rare car. We hardly want to be giving off the impression that we're a bunch of beardies, that's what the VOC is for (only joking!)

back of the torsion bars, at the chassis end theres a lever with a bolt through it, which is like a trimmer for the torsion bars to set/equalise the ride height.
There is usually about ¾” available to lower the ride height.
For more lowerz, hop on the classic Beetle train. You can move the lower suspension arm round on the torsion bar, this will give a drop of about 2” per spline.

I use Google like a deadly deadly ninja.

A marina would make a cool slow n low daily driver (says i, having never driven one.)
its period coolness just calls out to me.
historically, even if theyre terrible, i think its worth a save.

Problem with Marina is that actual driving is quite small part, welding and replacing transmissions is much larger part

Only decent marina I ever saw is where you tie ya boat up.

Most Morris/BL products of the 70/80s were pish.

Hence, we no longer have a car industry as such

bodywork lets it down a bit not rotten just mainly surface rust

For the life of me I can't understand why anyone thought it was a good idea to swap the carb with a Ford one. Apart from missing a choke, I can only imagine there's one 'sweet spot' where it supposedly all comes together but I bet any money it runs awful at any other speed.

Because the 2.0 makes more power than the 1.4, so obviously fitting the carb from the 2.0 will make it a million mile an hour car... der!
