Any damage? You really need an immobiliser. One of my herd (used by other family) was stolen and written off about 10 years ago. I think they use similar keys, worn mechanisms don't offer much security.

You could fit an aftermarket immobiliser that interrupts power to the coil and starter. I like the RFID ones, no arming, disarming, batteries , false alarms etc. it just picks up the passive dongle when it's within a few CM of the aerial usually fitted over the ignition key socket. This is about £25 - £50, some include a start button like modern cars. They can be bypassed but if it buried well enough it will deter them.

Alternatively a hidden switch would offer some benefits.

Same weather in the eastern part of Belgium where I live, it was snowing like hell on Friday. General power failure during 24h because of collapsed high-voltage power lines, very uncomfortable with a 15 months child! The GLT in my garage saved our life: I used the battery and some rear cluster bulbs to bring some life into the house :D It worked great, in combination with our wood stove... I'm so glad I dind't listen to resellers pushing hard for the pellet stove "trend", you must feel pretty stupid without electricity.

Hi all.
This was almost a disaster post. Storm Gertrude tried to steal my Louvre.
Lucky there were a few trees in front of the car where it was parked to
Catch it.
Has anyone seen the price of them on eBay. sm4

Hi all.
Was at the Bruce Springsteen gig in Dublin on Fridat night.
The boss and travelled over the boarder by train. It was brilliant.
80 000 people screaming for a bunch of pensioners playing over
3 1/2 hours of rock music. Class.
Cheers Mark.

Hi all.
The Banana is undergoing a little bit of surgery at the moment.
She has got a refurbished carb from the legend that is mac.
She will be getting a replacement rear drivers door from the legend that is macplaxton.
A replacement throttle cable from the legend that is classicswede.
She also needs a bit of welding on the rear jacking point.
Hopefully this will be done in the next couple of months.
Cheers Mark.
