Thanks everyone :)

Tom, I will be keeping the glt wheels, im not getting rid of them. I am planning to make coilovers to but ill be keep the orginal struts. I want the coilovers to make the most out of the car. I want it looking farley standard but just slightly different

Right some progress with the car maybe happening, after 16 pages :p

Bought some front legs off adam, got them shot blasted

As you can see both pans are rotten, thats no worries but im not to sure about the hole in one

My plan for them was to make coilovers. So what i think is ill weld in a plate over that hole then grind it down. Ill then weld on a sleeve (which is needed for the 2.5" conversion kit) then weld on the threaded sections.

Hopefully with is it will be strong enough, but i suppose ill still need to do a decent job on patching hole. As its been shotblasted I know that the rust isnt going to be any worse.

opinions welcomed, but i want optimistic opinions and advice :P

might be worth just cutting that section off and welding on a new tube of the same diameter? that way you'll know its solid for sure. plus you wont need to grind the weld down from the inside as this will be flipping difficult

Good point about the weld on the inside. Thing is I'd have to get the top of the tube thread aswell :/

Tryed alittle 0-60, nothing to accurate, timed on my mates watch

he says it 9.7 secs, but we were going uphill, 7.3 going down the same hill :D

Realised ill need new tyres soon, its either save the moeny for the new tyres or get the coilovers biult up further, so dont expect quick progress on the coilover front now :(

I will begin by saying I HATE mk3 glt rims.
But as yours is about the only mk3 glt on here running them, Ive really grown to like that origonal look dude.
Four double serious.

Those other ones are still cool. and repping the OEM, and you should totally go with what you like.

You just couldnt ant wheels on your car that made it owt but cool lookin.
