Yep the yoyo isn't in my favour at the moment (not like 2 years ago when I could go shopping mental)
A 1.4 like that would cost €350-odd to tax annually too. That's why it'd have to be a Mk1 or nothing.

I reckon that this would have been thrashed to within an inch of it's life, but blimey, a bit of work and it would be a hell of a sleeper to tool around in.
Can't help thinking that 2 good cars died to make this though.

I'm with you on that i don't think they are 340, my guess is early e21 3 series
