VND, I agree about the glt alloys, they just look like hub caps.

Speedy, it has slow puncture, looking at 4 new tyres for them.

I have 5, 2 are white, does anyone know the silver of the wheels? the name or paint code, its massive stab in the dark.

New ones look good!!

I have a strange problem that any wheels i get MUST be refurbished. black or white would suit yours :) but even left as they are would look great too

ideas :D

I prefer those 440 wheels over the GLT ones, white or silver looks good. Never quite convinced by cars with wheels the same colour as the bodywork. Black ones Ok but sometimes they look a bit lost in the arches without some detail.
That shot blasting looks severe, hope it doesn't take too much metal away? Was thinking of having lots done on the Mk 1 and it's parts when I start on it, theres so much surface rust on stuff. I've had wheels done before and it's very good, even if it does find all the holes in your struts! (not a bad thing, at least you can find them and it's clean for welding), What about damage to threads, bolt holes etc and clearances where parts fix together again?

Nimmiz, you lad haha! that is a PS marathon :P, looks awsome but now gives me way too much to think about lol! Thanks though :)

Hell driver: The shot blasters masked off the stub axle, I was concered when i got them back that had shot blasted the inside, and riuned the thread for insert, but they hadnt. It finds holes, but if it doesnt you know its good, and if does find holes you know they won't get worse. I think if you were going to mod some parts getting them shot blasted would be very wise as you'd know exactly what you were dealing with.

hows that? looks good. sure a vinyl place could knock a set of the logos up in white. peugeot Cossack grey is a rather nice colour for wheels  had my 205 gti rims in that on me 206

Love the pinstripe BTW, just noticed it

The logo is about a 1mm recess into the hubcub, so should be easy to pick out with a brush.

I'd go with the angles done either dark grey, with the flat face in silver or anthracite (maybe anthracite with body colour on the angled bits?) Mine arekinda similar, and look hugely better when the angles are painted dark

I'm the only one who likes original MkIII GLT alloys here :-) But Pollux wheels are a nice alternative. They look good on dubweiser's red car:

From my Ronals
Angly bit painted dark grey (they will be going Fake blue when I refurb them)

Not painted on the front axle.

There is a side on piccy of Steve's car outside the Bullring that shows the painted inner making the spokes seem a lot narrower than they really are and look much better for it.
