I sent him an email and he sent one back asking how much it was worth.
I said a grand easily but in the current climate he should be happy with £800. Do you think this is fair?

I thinks its "fair".......................
But whos got 800 to spend on a Volvo 300 these days?
SteveP could barely give his gls away not so long ago, and that was on leos and super minty fresh yadda yadda yadda.
The last mk2 360 (hatch) on ebay
(this one) went unsold on ebay twice at bids of 500.
So what im saying is, it really doesnt matter what me or you think. It only matters what soeone will pay for it.
Thats the "value".

Remind me?
I had two genuine people come to look at it and got the asking price when it came to sell. That saloon looks (on the face of it) in similar condition to my GLS which I sold for £800 so i think he's not far off the mark to be honest. If it were me I'd certainly not sell it for any less, if anything the engine bay looks cleaner than my old one.

Spose the proofs in the pudding then. Lets see if it makes 800.
Well Steve, theres at least one person who definatly has 800 to spend on a V300.
And a saloon fan to boot.
Get in there.

It's not just that, it's also how much patience & time you have to sell ... If it's just popped on the bay without a reserve there'll always be a scrap merchant who will bid 50 pounds and a trampdrifter who will bid 150. But someone in the market for a "minter" will probably be prepared to pay a lot more, but these buyers don't pop up every 5 minutes
