S60 D5 (163) has 340nm of torque.Its gonna be breaking all sorts of transmission parts,unless you drive it like a grandad. :lol:

Im not taking the risk, if i was flush with cash i would love to though. I like how I said id rather see someone put a d5 in than a t5 and suddenly speedy tried doing a deal with me that i did it...I accepted :O

The main dilemma would be engine management - Far simpler - I reckon a 340 with the 1.9 Renault TDI and a few choice modifications (stronger prop to deal with the low rpm torque) would go very well in a 950-1000kg 340

But again the main problem will be the large whollop of torque you get at very low RPM - I'd guess a fair bit more stressful on weak props than similar torque figures that are achieved gradually over 5000rpm in a valver

The shock loading wouldn't be nice! I did also suggest that, I did think it would be far simpiler
