Snag = Stag !! It has been the nickname for them since the seventies, mainly for their appetite of eating engines !!

You won't be against Ted either as he won the show last year & he's now in the masters too !!! Easy field for you boys this year LOL !!

Oh...oops...I thought you meant a Jag! I've always had a huge soft-spot for Stags, no idea why! How about a Rover V8 conversion....or would that be sacrilege?

cheers

Yes it is, and there's nothing wrong with the Triumpgh 3.0V8 that a decent cooling system won't cure............

Too expensive ! Wanted a respray, new interior, alloys refurbing, new fuel pump, service, mot, & that's before any other mechanical work or welding. It was budgeting on £1k, he wanted double !!

Not to worry, as the saying goes, there's plenty around & no hurry !! Have also seen an 1800ES though ! ?

So watch this space.................

Bad news....well, worse than that really :P

Got down there..."stolen" from their pound last night. £40+ in petrol for nothing....ho hum - win some, lose some! At least I found out I can average 30mpg at 70-80 when properly warm :) Waste of a day, and of V6 Man and (on standby) Pettaw's time...needless to say, feeling a bit :( ...and  .....and sm31 .....and..... sm42 .......AND...... sm72 ...AND sm58

Ah, smilies (and induction noise) make it all better

cheers

yeah frustration, I guess either they didn't want to sell it to you for the price they accepted, or else its already gone.

Maybe it didn't even have A/C?

I think it did have AC...I think I can see the button in the pics. They seem to be slightly odd...remember they told Hugh the car was sold about two months ago? Then again I'd tell Hugh the car was sold if he called me

I think I'm past caring trying to work out exactly what has gone on. I've shot them an email asking if they could spare me some of their (no doubt suitably generous) insurance payout to cover my £40+ petrol cost - as a goodwill gesture. We'll see how we get on there.

I think I'll contact a couple of Volvo chums in Oz to try to hook myself up with a kit.

cheers
