Holy shit! Bristol.
Guys, I can go take a look at this for anyone. Unfortunately I'm out of storage currently and can't really afford £300 but I'd happily put it through an MOT for someone if they really want it?

Sorry dude... But if he can find the money I'll look at it for him. I'm sure shakes will hold onto it if you've paid for it.

If you do, don't forget the manifold tapping and the temperature sensor ...
The radio/cassette can definitely be removed and sold seperately, it doesn't look right and is designed for earlier models. It's worth a few bob too on the bay as it's a part common to early V200s as well.

Whats a v200 mate?
The stereo even has the Volvo cassette tape. you can see on the pic with the documents.
There is a couple of minor things this car needs, the heaters doesnt work but i noticed a couple of fuses blown, there really weird looking fuses and i Havant got any hanging around to change them.
the drivers window isn't opening but you can hear the motor try and move when pressing the button, i think its just where it was sat so long and got bits of crap between the rubber and the glass again a easy fix. and that's the only faults ive noticed.
i was going to fix them, but i know you like something to tinker with

It's a shame, there have been a good couple of MOT'd and tax'd cars for sale or sold in the last month for the same money you are asking for this so I'm not convinced it's worth that money when it's a proven MOT failure with welding needed.

If the bits needing welding are only small, get it welded - with full MOT surely £500 any day - it looks pretty tidy overall.
@Chris - I've not seen any MOT'd/Taxed 300's this tidy sell for £300, 400 maybe - at a push!

An idea: 5 V3M'ers contribute 50 pounds to Speedy, or maybe less, shakes?
The worst that can happen:
dials, power window switches and radio get removed, sold on Ebay (by Speedy)
car sold for scrap (by Speedy)
everyone gets their money back, Speedy has lost some of his time, some rare parts saved
The best that can happen:
car gets welded, cheaply MOT'd, sold on for more money
Everyone gets their money back
Speedy gets to keep the extra for his time
A "special" V300 saved
Good idea

?
Cheers
Tom
