They are for the Ft, had a chat with a fella and the Et was never exported to the US.
I have a part number mahle 0376502. These are the .6mm oversize. I may as well go the whole hog. The only supplier I can find in Ireland is one I deal with at work so let's hope they are available as I should get a good discount.
Now I need to get me a micrometer and see where I lie with the rest of this pile of junk steel. Something tells me the standard crank bearings are not going to be up to scratch, time to learn precision measuring.
If the bore is anything to go by then everything about this lump is going to be oversize.
Cheers Dai, I'm €57 for the hone if I don't proceed with the rebore, if I rebore then it will not be charged. I'm going to check availability on the pistons and prices then I will see where I go from there.
One of our other suppliers gave me excellent prices on the main bearings etc and all were available, (glyco) so I may proceed with the rebore. Call me strange but I hate throwing things away. I may take you up on that yet though.
I have myself sorted, sorry 360beast, just noticed your post, don't seem to get email notifications anymore.
I've been hunting pistons all over the world but they are NLA but by chance and a bit of persistance I have a b23et block, rebored, with crankshaft polished, balanced with flywheel and pulley, 4 oversize mahle pistons, still boxed and weight balanced rods. I got it cheaper than all that work cost but still cost a pretty penny. Now trying to arrange shipping from the UK.
Back on track! It has been driving me crazy for weeks now, got nothing else done on the car except a poor paint job on my wheels. Now to get back to getting her on the road. I'm not far away, need to make the rear torque rod adjustable, reassemble the rear axle and fit the fuel tank and make new brake lines. Still have to go and collect a torque tube then I am set.
