So far young man............ 21 years and a few months for travelling in a 300! My parents bought their first 360 GLT soon after I was born, a 1984 5 door. Then moved onto a Mk3 D reg saloon, then a F reg hatch, then a G reg saloon, then I could drive and as my second car got a 360 GLT once the insurance dropped somewhat and I found a decent one available. I think I did about 30,000 miles in that over 3 years, at one time as a second car! Then probably about 6000 miles or so in my current GLT.

So Pete, how many years and how far have you owned/driven 300's?

I'll check the odometers tomorrow if I remember! And I'll have to check the paper work for owning of 300's! I can't remember whether I was 18 or 19 when I bought my first 360 GLT to use. Maybe I've owned the most in such a short space of time? LOL

Well done KeithB! That is truly dedication to the 300 series and should be saluted!
It only remains to see if anyone else can beat it - I still await a MickT post stating 25yrs and 350k if only because he seems to do a lot of mileage jsut coming to meets (overnight from an Irish holiday just to go to the VOC National!!).

Gareth, I had the same problem. Learn how to slide the car about and then take your 'mates' for a spin. Instant respect

Very, very true... none of my mates take the piss now. They take the piss out of the VOC membership card in my wallet though...

I've already made my membership fees (and more) back on dealer discounts for parts this year... worth every ounce of underserved ridicule if you ask me.

Totally agree... I'll be using dealer discount and i'm now insured with Chris Knott insurance, with VOC discount for £200 cheaper than I could find elsewhere

Gareth, being as u live round by me. I know you have seen my car and very few people take the piss now TBH they did to start with but at the end of the day for what the 340's are worth as first cars they are quicker and cheaper to insure than ur mates shitty novas and saxos etc!!!
