Oh indeed the T6 is pretty damn quick, but the chassis is designed for cruising, and cruising quickly - not handling or any form of fun factor.

Put two decent sized turbos in place of the toytown ones from the factory, and the T6 would give the Lotus Carlton a run for its money.

And after all, would you rather be seen in an Volvo, or a (vauxhall/opel) lotus omega??

Shoot me, but Lotus Omega is much better looking and it has RWD, s80 has nothing that appeals to me, but that is case in almost every new car.

So if I would be given a choice I would choose Lotus Omega over s80 any time, no matter how big turbos s80 has

And what about the beamer alpina and maserati? Certainly the maserati has more style then the omega i must say.

But after all, it is just a matter of taste.

I would choose the Lotus Omega over S80 any day. S80 is a quite dull car (and it is a FWD, big minus :P) which doesn't appeal me in any way. And what comes to in which I would rather be seen in.. I choose my cars, what someone else might think doesn't matter. I'm the one who is driving the car, not the people around me. ;) Plus the Lotus Omega is much more rare than S80s which come around at every corner. :P

About turbos and what comes to power, one properly sized turbo is pretty much always better than two. Two small turbos are just usually easier to fit in factory than one bigger..

Of course...I was just suggesting being lazy and not building a manifold :)

oh and a small note on the 'pre-GM' thing; if you want a pre-GM opel you would have to go back to before 1926
even the famous opel blitz truck was made under GM flag...

PS look at the styling of the fifties and sixties opels. vaguely familiar? :-)
