Let me arrange to get the missing parts first, then we'll talk money. I must get you pictures too - the spoiler has a couple of flaws - nothing serious, but you must see them before you decide.
cheers

cheap spare parts for B 14 engines

Hello, Samo,
I am living not far away from you, in Romania. I could see you have two Volvos, both of them with B 14 engines. Exactly like me

I also got two Volvos, a 340 and a 343 (the last one is driven now by one of my friends, it is sort of common properti).
What can I do for you is to help you with cheap engine spare parts. Perhaps you know the old Dacias 1300 and 1400. The B 14 engine is a Renault engine wich has been also adopted (with some small changes) by the Dacia cars. It means that all over Romania it is possible to buy cheap spare parts for those engines. This is valid only for the engines using the classic ignition, not the electronic ignition. For both kind of engines (classic ignition and electronic ignition), the rest of the engine parts are available.
So, if you need some engine parts, please let me know. I`ll tell you the prices for new parts, as well as for second hand parts, if you wish, and then I can send you those parts within no more than 24 hours.
I do hope I will can help you to keep your Volvos running.
Greetings from Transylvania/Romania
PS - If you are not feeling comfortable with the English language, you may write me in French or Spanish, if it is better for you.

What I have posted here about the accessibility to many cheap parts for Renault B14 engines is valid not only for our Slovenian friend Samo, but for all V3M members using such engines in their cars.

Did You mean to Dacia solenza and Supernova ?? Those are older models of Dacia. I knew they have Renault engine B 14, but I'm not into new Dacia Logan...
Thanks

Renault B14 engines are equiping older models of Dacia, 1300 and 1400. Supernova and Solenza have other kind of engines, not similary at all with the old B14. Logan has two petrol engines. One is the same like in Supernova and Solenza, and the other is a 1,6 liters, 8 valves or 16 valves. We only can use for our B14 engines spare parts from the old Dacia 1300 or 1400, manufactured untill early 90 years.

Thanks sorin_ms66. I know on which models are You thinking. I've seen a few of them here. Also I've seen the article in our ( Serbian ) magazine in which is possible to swap those old 1300-1400 Dacia's with a bit of money to solenza and supernova, as well as logan.
That means there are less of them on the streets, and they probably finished on junk jard.
Thanks again.

Is this the dacia that you can use parts from ?
in Britain it was called the renault 12

Yes, those models of Dacia have (most of them) an engine almost similar like our B14 engines. In fact, B14 is a Renault engine, as we all know. In the same time, these Dacias from above are Renault 12 cars, manufactured in Romania under Renault license.
That means from Dacias equiped with 1397 cmc petrol engine we can take any engine part we want. It fits to any B14 engine. The only thing wich may not be similar is the ignition. Dacias use the clasic ignition system (with platins), so its ignition parts can be use on the first generations of B14 only.
In the rest of aspects, Dacia`s 1397 cmc engine and B14 engines are almost the same (99%, I guess).
